wild places

A lane in June

Now to be absolutely honest, I did spend quite a lot of June away from home, so I don’t feel that I properly connected with it this year.

But the highlights were certainly the bees who seemed to accompany every walk. The weather wasn’t as consistent as in May, so I had a couple of soggy mornings, but they make for prettier pictures.

The dog roses were brief but beautiful. The brambles presented their pale raspberry ripple colouring - I love them! Hogweeds forced themselves up into the light and thistles , a most underrated flower, began to burst out.
